Christmas at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf and Country Club offers a touch of magic guaranteed to captivate guests of all ages. Here you can relax and truly enter into the spirit of the festive season as you enjoy the special atmosphere of this luxurious Cavan hideaway.
Christmas Eve
Guests arriving on Christmas Eve are invited to join the start of the hotel's Christmas celebrations. Arriving from 1pm, you can enjoy a relaxing day with elegant afternoon tea by the fireside, a refreshing swim or a pampering experience in our Ciúin Spa & Wellness Centre (due to the high demand reservations, pre-appointment is necessary). Residents are invited to join us that evening for a welcome drinks reception in a wonderful, traditional Christmas atmosphere. This is followed by a sumptuous dinner in the Conall Cearnach or Setanta Restaurant and the night will end with live music in the Kells Bar. (We can store any special presents you may wish to keep hidden until later!)
Christmas Day
A dazzling display of festive delights await you throughout the day! No doubt you will be awoken early so breakfast is available from 8am, after which you can enjoy a visit to the leisure centre, a few holes of golf or maybe a stroll in the hotel grounds. Lunch will be a lavish meal specially prepared by our Head Chef. Laziness is the order of the afternoon, retire to the Shannon Suite and enjoy Bingo in the Kells Bar. You can then relax and enjoy a light buffet dinner and feel the Christmas spirit brought to life as our live music entertains you with festive tunes and your favourite songs in the Kells Bar.
St. Stephen's Day
After the excitement of Christmas Day, there is no rush today, relax and unwind at your leisure and enjoy breakfast, available from 8am for any early risers. Today is yours to do with as you please, just get comfortable with a good book or enjoy the many facilities of the hotel with entertainment throughout the afternoon. Our Table Quiz will commence following a festive light lunch. After a superb dinner in the Conall Cearnach or Setanta Restaurant, why not retire to the Kells Bar to enjoy our entertainment. December 27th After breakfast it is time to say goodbye and head for home. We hope you will have enjoyed your stay and that we may welcome you back again next year.
