Autism Friendly – The Slieve Russell is an Autism Friendly hotel, we have a sensory soft play room and to avoid the need to queue please complete online check-in before you travel.

Sensory Room/ Soft Play – We are proud to announce we have upgraded our Soft Play to a Sensory Soft Play Room.  The hotel can be a busy environment, the multi-sensory room offers young children and in particular those with sensory issues a quiet space to enjoy whilst staying with us.  The room has been specially designed by Multisensory Ireland (a local Cavan business) to allow users to relax and enjoy a range of sensory experiences such as sight, movement and touch.

Touch – Tactile Touch Panel with Padded Corner

The Sensory Soft Play Room is available to hotel residents and can be accessed with their hotel key card.  It is available for children 0-4 years and those with special needs.

In Ireland, one in twenty people have sensory issues and one in fifty have been diagnosed with Autism, at Slieve Russell we are committed to providing an inclusive family friendly experience for everybody.
